Oscar Stringers response to my Teaser Trailer.

Overall Oscar Stringer gave a positive opinion towards my Teaser Trailer 'It Will Happen' and i was pleased with the feedback he gave, however he did give me several points that i needed to improve on it for example use of more sound effects to create a much more 'tense' atmosphere throughout, he also suggested cutting a shot that i had kept to long, these points i then worked on and are now in the final cut of my product.

Representation of Teenagers in the Media.

As teenagers are the age range my product is aimed at i thought i'd give an idea of how teenagers are represented in the media, case in point the drama series 'Skins'

The drama series ‘skins’ is a good example of how teenagers are stereotyped. The programme depicts the characters as being vulgar, taking drugs, having sex and getting in violent situations.

Within the first episode Tony discusses plans for Sid to lose his virginity, Sid then buys drugs from a dealer at a brothel, the character Cassie overdoses at the party they go to and the group drive a car into a harbour. Throughout the running time there is strong language and vulgar terminology.
Whilst it may be the case that some teenagers do get up to these things, it becomes damaging to many young individuals when these stereotypes are widely accepted as reality.
This bad teenage image is aided by national newspapers and TV news. Often news stories involving teenagers are to do with crime, and teenagers rarely receive sympathetic coverage unless it involves them dying.

Websites used during my A2 course.

YouTube, Twitter and Facebook have all had roles in the process of my Tasks, for example Facebook was used to easily spread the survey i created around my friends and family and gain the results back in a much shorter time than handing them out one by one manually.

YouTube of course was used to upload my Teaser Trailer and make it easier for me to access anywhere over the web for example adding a link to my blog.

While Twitter was used to get back very quick responses, although in less detail, about what genre my trailer should be aswell as other questions related to my product.

All of these social sites have proven to be extremely popular and i was able to access every single of my friend and member of family via these websites.

New Technology used during the production of my Teaser Trailer

iMovie:

During this course i have learnt a number of new skills, for example using a Mac Book Pro to edit my teaser trailer was extremely simple to do while using the iMovie software and made the whole process very simple and straight forward , and also uploading my trailer to Youtube was made very simple  to do using this very software.




Garage Band:

I used the software 'Garage Band' to help piece together my own sound effects for my Teaser Trailer and this worked very well, proving to be a very easy to use program with little problems, i was also able to find the effects i made very easily from iMovie using a shortcut that let me access the effects i made from Garage band.
